A Recent Medical Article On Cesarean Section

Posted by Frank Spector | Dec 07, 2015 | 0 Comments

In a recent article published in a prestigious medical journal, the authors looked at whether higher C-section rates had any effect on birth injuries and death.

In medical malpractice cases involving birth injuries that we handle, often times had a C-section been done, the baby would not have had an injury such as cerebral palsy or brain damage.

Hospitals and doctors often defend themselves by saying that C-sections are done too frequently in the United States. They also say that C-section is a major surgery that comes with significant risks to the mother including even death.

In the article, the conclusion was that higher C-section rates correlate to lower injuries to babies.
