A Virginia anesthesiologist was ordered by a jury to pay $500,0000 to a man who was ridiculed by her during a colonoscopy.

The patient turned on his phone recorder so he could document the explanation of the risks of the colonoscopy.  The phone recorder was still on after he was given anesthesia.

The doctor made fun of him, called him a “retard”, joked about putting a false diagnosis in his chart, and made some other juvenile jokes at his expense.
