Checklist for a Wrongful Death Case

Posted by Frank Spector | Oct 22, 2014 | 0 Comments

When we are asked to investigate a wrongful death case, the first step is to open up an estate so that we can obtain the necessary paperwork from the Court to obtain the medical records.

In order to make the process work faster, here is a checklist of the documents we will need-

♦ A copy of the will if one exists. The will names the Personal Representative

♦ If there is no will, we need the names and addresses for the spouse, parents , and children of the deceased

♦ A copy of the death certificate

♦ A copy of the funeral bill or cremation bill

Getting all of this information will help us move more quickly in investigating the potential case.
