Hospital Admits Fault In Patient’s Death

An internal report produced in regard to Los Angeles County's Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Medical Center has acknowledged that the facility failed to properly treat a patient who died after being ignored by staff for nearly an hour. Edith Rodriguez died of a bowel perforation shortly after being arrested instead of receiving treatment. Rodriguez's family and boyfriend both have lawsuits pending against the county. LA Times
