Important Lead Paint News-Blood Levels Lowered To 5

Posted by Frank Spector | May 18, 2012 | 0 Comments

After careful study the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) has lowered the blood levels from 10 to 5.  This means that brain damage from lead can be caused by lower levels of exposure.

Lead paint has been a big problem in houses, especially in Baltimore City. Even though landlords are legally responsible to clean up lead, this does not always happen.

The battle in these cases has always been what amount of lead exposure in the blood can cause harm.  Before this CDC change, the blood levels were 10. Now they are 5.

So if your child has been exposed to lead and the blood levels are 5 or more, you should call us toll free at 1-800-299-HURT.
