Maryland Birth Injury Fund Bill Put On Hold

In this year's legislature, there was a bill which would in our opinion severely hurt the rights of babies who have cerebral palsy and brain damage from birth related malpractice.

The fund would have replaced the ability to receive the necessary compensation for future medical care and other related costs from a jury and put it into the hands of a panel including a doctor.

Restrictions like these close the door to the justice system.

Thankfully, the bill has been put on hold for more study.
