Mothers in America At Risk for Death After Giving Birth

Posted by Frank Spector | Mar 17, 2019 | 0 Comments

A recent USA Today article highlighted horrible deaths at Touro Hospital in New Orleans. One woman died and another had her legs amputated after giving birth. The article exposed that in many parts of the country besides New Orleans, mothers are dying at alarming rates.

Some after birth complications include bleeding, high blood pressure, clots, and infection. Doctors and nurses fail to care for the moms thinking that birth is routine. But it is a traumatic thing to give birth. A mother's system has been providing for 2 people and then suddenly, her body is only providing for 1. Special attention needs to be given to the mother.

At Frank Spector Law we are often consulted about many complications following birth. These include injuries to mom and baby. If you would like to discuss a case with us, please call me toll free at 1-800-299-HURT (4878). Or you can fill out one of our contact forms. Frank Spector will call you right away.
