Report Faults State of Emergency Care

A report produced by a national group of emergency room doctors warns that the nation's emergency care system may be at the breaking point. According to the report, produced by the American College of Emergency Physicians, most emergency departments have reached the limit in their ability to properly care for patients. Doctors warn, however, that current economic conditions could make conditions worse as hospitals are forced to absorb patients unable to pay for other care.
